I HAVE A COUPLE OF TIPS WHERE YOU CAN MASK UP AND HAVE A FUN WORKOUT. >> WHAT SHOULD WE DO? >> ALL RIGHT. SO FIRST, LET ME GRAB MY PLANET FITNESS WATER BOTTLES BECAUSE THEY’LL BE MY WEIGHTS, OKAY. AND WHAT I WANT YOU GUYS TO DO IS INSTEAD OF DOING STEADY STATE CARDIO FOR 20 MINUTES AT THE END OF A WORKOUT, INFUSE YOUR STRENGTH EXERCISES WITH CARDIO MOVES THAT TAKE 20 TO 30 SECONDS. FIRST, I’M GOING TO DO A COUPLE OF SHOULDER PRESSES LIKE THIS. SO I’M WORKING MY SHOULDERS AS A STRENGTH EXERCISE. AND THEN IN MY MIND, I’M LIKE HEY, I STILL WANT TO BURN MORE CALORIES BECAUSE I MAY BE WANTING TO LOSE WEIGHT. WHAT YOU DO AFTER THE SHOULDER PRESS IS YOU PUT YOUR WEIGHTS DOWN AND DO A COUPLE OF JUMPING JACKS. MAYBE 20 SECONDS, AND YOU CAN STEP OUT TO THE SIDE IF YOU NEED TO MODIFY BECAUSE THEM BECAUSE YOU HAVE KNEE PROBLEMS OR LOW BACK PROBLEMS. OKAY, COOL, I WANT TO GET BACK INTO WEIGHTS. I’LL PICK THESE BACK UP AND LET’S GET THE ARM STRENGTH GO, DO A COUPLE OF BICEP CURLS. CHEST UP, SHOULDERS BACK, EYES FORWARD. COOL, BACK TO CALORIES. WHAT I CAN DO NOW IS A COUPLE OF HAMMER JACKS. IT’S JUST A HOP AND DRIVING THOSE ARMS UP. AGAIN, CAN BE MODIFIED TO THE SIDE. THE CONCEPT HERE IS THIS. INSTEAD OF DOING 20 MINUTES OF STEADY STATE CARDIO WITH THE MASK ON, WHICH IS A LITTLE BIT HARDER TO DO NOW, YOU CAN INFUSE SHORTER BURSTS OF CARDIO ACCELERATION IN BETWEEN THOSE STRENGTH EXERCISES. JENNIFER: YOU’RE AN EXPERT AND HAVE BEEN WEARING YOUR MASK. HAVE YOU FOUND ANY TYPE OF MASK, ANY CERTAIN MATERIAL WORKS BETTER FOR WORKING OUT? >> THAT’S A GREAT QUESTION, JEN. I THINK IT COMES DOWN TO WEAR ONE THAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU. BECAUSE EVERYBODY’S DIFFERENT. EVERYBODY’S COMFORT LEVEL IS DIFFERENT. OF COURSE, THE CONTOUR OF YOUR FACE IS GOING TO BE UNIQUE. SO JUST FIND A MASK THAT CONTOURS YOUR FACE PROPERLY AND YOU FEEL BEST AT. >> YOU DEFINITELY WANT PEOPLE TO COME INTO THE GYM, BUT YOU’RE STILL DOING SOME THINGS ONLINE; IS THAT RIGHT? >> ABSOLUTELY.
